London Removal Modern Slavery Statement
London Removal is committed to conducting all aspects of its operations in an ethical, responsible, and transparent manner. This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps we take to identify, prevent, and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business activities and supply chains. It applies to all employees, contractors, agency workers, and suppliers engaged by London Removal.
Our Zero-Tolerance Approach
London Removal has a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not accept any form of forced labour, servitude, bonded labour, child labour, or any other exploitation of individuals. We expect the same standards from all organisations with which we work, including suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners.
All employees are required to uphold this policy in their daily work and in any decisions relating to the engagement of third parties. Any breach, or suspected breach, of this policy is treated as a serious matter and may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or the cessation of commercial relationships.
Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
We recognise that the logistics and removals sector can be exposed to modern slavery risks, particularly in relation to temporary labour, subcontracted services, and the sourcing of equipment and materials. London Removal conducts ongoing risk assessments to identify areas where the risk of exploitation may be higher, such as high-pressure seasonal work, low-skilled roles, or complex multi-tier supply chains.
As part of our due diligence processes, we review the ethical standards, labour practices, and compliance frameworks of existing and prospective suppliers. We give preference to suppliers who can demonstrate robust procedures for preventing modern slavery and who share our commitment to fair and lawful employment practices.
Supplier Standards and Audits
All suppliers are expected to comply with applicable labour, human rights, and health and safety laws, and to uphold standards consistent with London Removal’s zero-tolerance position on modern slavery. Our contractual arrangements seek to reflect these expectations and allow for appropriate oversight.
London Removal undertakes periodic audits and assessments of key suppliers, with a particular focus on those operating in higher-risk categories or regions. These audits may include document reviews, site visits, and interviews with management and workers to assess working conditions, recruitment practices, wage payment, and grievance mechanisms. Where non-compliance or areas of concern are identified, we work with suppliers to develop corrective action plans and monitor progress. If serious or persistent non-compliance is identified, we may suspend or terminate the business relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Reporting Channels
We are committed to promoting awareness of modern slavery risks across our workforce. Relevant employees, including managers and those involved in procurement, recruitment, and supplier management, receive training on recognising indicators of exploitation and on the procedures for raising concerns.
London Removal encourages all workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns relating to modern slavery or unethical labour practices. Concerns can be raised confidentially through internal reporting routes, including line management or other designated reporting points within the business. Reports will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and handled sensitively to protect individuals who raise concerns in good faith from victimisation or retaliation.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that combating modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility and that our approach must continually evolve. London Removal is committed to reviewing and improving our policies, procedures, and controls to address emerging risks and best practice standards.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least annually by senior management. The review considers audit findings, risk assessments, feedback from employees and stakeholders, and any changes in relevant legislation or industry guidance. Where necessary, we update our processes, training, and supplier requirements to strengthen our response.
By publishing this Statement, London Removal reaffirms its commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms and to operating with integrity, fairness, and respect for human rights throughout our business and supply chains.
